The next stop is probably the highlight of the tour. The Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary will allow you to hold and play with cheeky Capuchin or more giant spider monkeys.
Roatan’s friendly creatures are all eager to jump on your shoulders and have some fun, and it is a beautiful experience to get so close to these charming and mischievous animals. However, watch out for the juveniles, who may search your pockets and bags for items to play with or eat!
Enjoy the unique experience of a loving hug from the enchanting three-toed sloths at this friendly establishment, where you will also find a beautiful collection of scarlet macaws, toucans, and the native and endangered yellow-headed Roatan Parrots, to name a few. The Parrot Tree plantation is your next stop, with a delightful small lagoon beach and bar, coffee house, and marina, all with beautiful views.
The next destination is West End Village, a quiet, sleepy seaside town with most Restaurants and Souvenir shops along its sandy street.
Snorkeling is also an option in this location, and gear is available for rent during this stop for approximately $10 US, or you are welcome to bring your own.
The Roatan Wild On Wildlife Adventure then continues to West Bay, where you find the most beautiful beach on the Island. You will enjoy the rest of your day relaxing in the sun or visiting some of the most picturesque beach bars the Island offers before returning to your cruise ship.
